Training with specific aim
Other trainings carried out with the specific aim of improving professional
skills and knowledge of CRIC staff members and other actors involved in the implementation
of the project are the following:
1. Training on “Raising self consciousness and self esteem” for teachers and
mothers of 18 KGs.
Teachers and mothers will be involved in two separate, but strictly linked trainings, one on
“enhancing women's consciousness and self esteem” and second on “enhancing teachers/mothers
capacity to recognise and distinguish children's behaviours”.
In order to improve teachers and mothers awareness of the importance of their educative role
in child development a training program has been foreseen. The training program will be designed
and elaborated by a working group formed by staff members of a local NGO professional in gender
issues Women's Affairs Centre, and one expert appointed by an Italian gender association Donne in
Genere. The involvement of the Italian NGO is requested in order to contribute to the excellent
work carried out by Women's Affairs Centre during the years, providing new methodologies and ideas
of gender approaches. The training course will aim at enhancing women consciousness and self
esteem, enabling them in becoming more aware of their feelings, needs, problems, and in finding
coping strategies or solutions.
The training will target a representative group of mothers of
children attending the 18 KGs selected by CRIC and teachers of the same 18 KGs.
The representatives will first receive the training and after will be trained in order to become
them selves trainers on the same topics and hold workshops with the other mothers and teachers of
the same 18 KGs.
The expert appointed by Donne in Genere therefore will:
- Participate to the working group, analysing the local context and gender issues,
outlining together a training programme;
- Carry out two follow up missions during the implementation of the training programme.
The experts appointed by Women's Affairs Centre will:
